Disaffection - The 21st Century Pandemic

My closest friends know that I am a perennially positive person who seeks at a moment's notice to encourage and shine the light on the good in things. But they also know that what bothers me most is our modern day pandemic of disaffection --- a dreadful condition that leaves folk in vulnerable communities feeling helpless and hopeless in their quest to partake in the good bounty of humanity. Evidence of this 21st century pandemic can be seen in the persistent swell of the unhappy and unfulfilled souls who yet suffer from poverty, hunger, pollution-induced health epidemics and climate change effects, terrorism, war, discrimination, apathy, and exploitation.

If I have any credibility to speak here, it comes from my direct experience with disaffection. From that experience, I know too well the psychic pain of disaffection that started with a childhood of poverty rife with hunger, homelessness, and health issues. It is the unspoken reason for the dearth of wealth and fulfillment in an oasis of plenty. Maybe you can relate.

Through it all, Creator God had enabled me to devote my third career to the labor of love of sharing with the world my “solution” to the problem of disaffection --- the "Science of Applied Faith". 

The Science, or SAF as I call it, is a revolutionary faith-centered human empowerment technology that helps knowledge-seekers of any station, stage, or persuasion achieve fulfillment in their lives. The great thing about SAF is that it is not some cultic idea that interferes with or replaces a person’s religious beliefs or spiritual leanings. Instead, SAF respects and endeavors to strengthen those beliefs. Simply stated, SAF is a supplementary faith application strategy for helping others put their faith to work for righteous means and ends. For we know that "faith without works is dead".

In anticipation of the publication of my upcoming book The Science of Applied Faith, I've decided to share some of what SAF is all about with my friends, readers, fans, and followers.

The inspiration for SAF came out of having mentors who encouraged me to convert my notes and writings into a multimedia solution to disaffection (e.g., seminars, trainings, articles, and books) . By submitting to these exemplary luminaries, I learned several lessons.

The first lesson was that a person should pursue four worthy objectives in order to live a "good life":

1. Be an authentically righteous person;

2. Live and let live;

3. Discover, develop, and use your gift, talents, endowments, and character to produce, market, and deliver a solution that can enhance some aspect of humanity (in exchange for money, resources, and assets to live a "good life"); and

4. Prepare and conduct yourself worthy "to love and be loved in return".

The second lesson I learned is that every society has a Ruling Elite. Typically, a Ruling Elite is a small confederation of institutional leaders, members, and trusted agents who formally or informally wield significant amounts of influence, power, and control over the social, economic, political, and cultural aspects of society. Ruling Elite members wield their power directly or indirectly through the institutions of Government, Business, Education, Religion, and the Media. 

One of the most important aspect of this lesson is that the Ruling Elite is divided into Righteous elites and Unrighteous elites. Righteous elites aim to leverage their's and societies assets and wealth to enhance society specifically, and humanity generally. On the other hand, Unrighteous elites tend to have a more self-serving agenda for control of assets, wealth, and power. The typically put their personal agendas above the greater well-being of society. This behavior makes them unrighteous.

The third lesson I learned is that the main cause of much of the disaffection in the world stems from an abuse of power by Unrighteous elites. The main effect of this abuse is an unhealthy, intellectually emaciated, financially-challenged, and uncompetitive population that conforms to and is often compelled to celebrate a standard of mediocrity. Any society in this condition is a ripe field for Unrighteous elites to corner the lion's share of that society's wealth. While this condition is obviously before us, few believe that anything can be done about it. But that's not true.

In future posts, I'll speak more about the role of elites in foment and abating disaffection. And more importantly, I'll lay out some strategies to overcome the policies, practices of Unrighteous elites, including . partnering with Righteous elites. The purpose of this knowledge is to position yourself for fulfillment.

In my next post, I'll share my insights about the "The First Revelation". I’ll explain why I KNOW unequivocally that YOU are a Divine Supernatural Genius! I’ll focus on the fact that Creator God made YOU and ME for an anointed work; and has equipped us with a Supernatural Anointed Gift to do that work in the service of humanity. Such a gift is not simply reserved for the folk we revere (and regrettably, even idolize). Rather, each of us has been given our own special GIFT, and I’ll speak about our responsibility to take up that gift and serve.
